Asian Vegetables

I have always been interested in growing the less usual. Living and working in Leicester, I found much inspiration in the local market and smaller shops, where a range of multicoloured mysterious produce is regularly on sale.

Working with the Plantcultures and Sowing New Seeds projects has allowed me to share knowledge with many talented growers, not only in Leicester but extending to Birmingham, London, Coventry and Nottingham.

Here are some of my favourites.. and you’d be amazed how many of them can grow in the UK – even in poor summers! I’ve trial-grown almost all of them in this country over the last 10 years.
